CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A group of ten young men from the Charleston area has embarked on a multi-day run across South Carolina to honor the memory of beloved coach, mentor, and community leader Brian Johnson.
Johnson served as coach for three local college programs and led the Academic Magnet High School boys’ cross country and track and field teams for 10 years.
He died earlier this year, leaving an immeasurable impact on thousands of students, athletes, families, and fellow coaches. Those who knew him recalled his kindness, encouragement ,and ability to bring out the best in all athletes…
