NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The North Charleston Police Department released additional details in the fatal shooting of 4-year-old Merci Watson on Van Buren Avenue last week.
According to the report from the authorities, the child appeared to have been in a white Nissan at – or around the time – he was shot on Dec. 16. He was taken to Centre Point Emergency Room, where officers found the vehicle, observing blood on the rear driver side seat, car seat and back rest.
During the investigation, officers also saw the child’s mother, stepfather and young siblings standing near the victim, according to the report…
