FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCSC) — Two candidates have filed to run for a vacant seat on the Folly Beach City Council following Chris Bizzell’s promotion to mayor.
DJ Rich, a lifelong Folly Beach resident and owner of Planet Follywood restaurant, is seeking to return to the council after giving up his seat of 14 years to run for mayor. Rich finished third out of five candidates in the mayoral race.
“It really makes you realize, you know, what all you’re involved in and how special it was. I mean, we’ve made great strides over my term, over my time on council. I want to make sure that the city’s in a good place moving forward,” Rich said…
