MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) — For many children entering the foster care system, the transition begins with a trash bag holding everything they own.
Seacoast Church is working to change that reality, one “Journey Bag” at a time.
“They call them Journey Bags,” said Cianna Nuzzo, an administrator at Seacoast Church’s Mount Pleasant campus. “It’s a backpack or a duffel bag that a foster care child receives when they first enter into DSS care, and this is usually one of the most traumatic or frightening moments of a child or a teen’s life.”…
