NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A convicted felon was arrested Monday in North Charleston after he was found to allegedly be in the possession of a handgun and multiple illegal drugs, according to police.
The North Charleston Police Department said that during a patrol through the Liberty Hill area, officers approached a group of men standing in an empty lot. The officers “made contact and discovered a backpack,” inside of which a handgun, drugs tested presumptive positive for marijuana, fentanyl, and cocaine base, and credit cards belonging to 20-year-old Marcus Dupree Moon Garner Jr., according to NCPD.
