Holy City Missions in North Charleston opened their soup kitchen on Christmas Day, sticking to their regular Monday and Thursday schedule to serve a full holiday meal to those in need.
Volunteers like five-year veteran Lynda Gildea and supervisor Mary Brown provided turkey, stuffing, vegetables, desserts, and extras like homemade pound cake, brownies, plus gifts such as gloves, hats, blankets, and snacks.
