SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — Local donation centers say the days after Christmas often bring an influx of donations, as families clean out closets, sort through duplicate gifts and look for ways to give back before the new year.
At Palmetto Goodwill, leaders say the period between Christmas and New Year’s is typically one of the busiest times of the year for physical donations.
“Then we get to the after Christmas rush, which is what we’re in obviously right now, and this goes through to the end of the year, definitely our peak time of donations out of the entire year right now,” said Brian Schroeder, director of donated goods for Palmetto Goodwill…
