SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) — HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital welcomed its first newborns of the year early New Year’s Day, celebrating the arrival of two baby boys within hours of midnight.
Baby King was the hospital’s first birth of 2026, arriving at 1:58 a.m. He was born to Shantrell and weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces, measuring 21 inches long. King joins a large family and is the youngest sibling to Legend, Royal, Dream, Prince and Melody.
Just over three hours later, at 5:02 a.m., Lais and Esdras welcomed their first child, baby boy Daniel. Daniel weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces, and measured 21.5 inches long…
