New 12 mph speed limit up and running – and it comes with $500 fines and jail time for violators

A NEW law is set to limit just how fast drivers can go, and where they can drive.

If found in violation of the new road rule, motorists risk being hit with fines of up to $500, or even jail time.

Operators of e-bikes in South Carolina are now subject to additional restrictions and regulations thanks to a new law passed by the town of Mount Pleasant.

In Mount Pleasant, e-bikes are now restricted to going just 12 mph on sidewalks following the proposed 15 mph limit being shot down…
