Report provides new insight on inmate who died in custody at Charleston County jail

CHARLESTON CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Before a 61-year-old inmate died in custody last month, he was denied entry to the Charleston County jail and taken to a local area hospital.

Mark Walker died on Dec. 6, around 3:27 p.m. at the Al Cannon Detention Center, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
