North Charleston police warn door-kicking prank could lead to criminal charges

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department is warning that pranks, which may seem harmless to some, could result in criminal penalties.

In a post on the agency’s CrimeWatch app, police said the age-old “ding dong ditch” prank has evolved into “kick and ditch,” a trend that can lead to charges such as breach of peace or malicious damage to property.
