Charleston Police arrested Anthony Animas, 50, on Thursday evening following a family argument that escalated to gunfire at MAA Hampton Pointe Apartments on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard.

Officers responded shortly after 5:30 p.m. to reports of a dispute between family members. Animas displayed a gun, pointed it, and fired one shot without aiming at the victim, according to Sgt. Chris Stinson.
