The West Ashley James Island Business Association (WAJIBA) on Thursday announced that the Honorable Mayor William Cogswell will be the featured speaker for its first official luncheon of 2026. The event, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, will provide local business leaders and community members an opportunity to hear directly from the Mayor regarding his vision for the City of Charleston.
Mayor Cogswell will address key issues impacting the local economy, with a specific focus on areas critical to West Ashley and James Island, including regional economic development, essential infrastructure projects, and regulatory changes affecting local commerce. Following his remarks, the Mayor will participate in a question and answer session with attendees.
“We are honored to host Mayor Cogswell for our kickoff event of the new year,” said Frank Wells, President of WAJIBA. “This luncheon is an essential opportunity for our members to engage directly with the City’s leadership on the policies and strategies that will shape our business environment in 2026 and beyond. We encourage all interested parties to attend.”…
