Goose Creek woman sentenced for theft from nursing home residents

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A Goose Creek woman has been sentenced to nearly three years in federal prison for thefts from nursing home residents in North Charleston.

Tuesday, U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina, Bryan P. Stirling, announced that Courtney Jeanine Brown, 49, was sentenced after stealing approximately $146,000 from 132 residents in the facility, most of whom were physically and/or mentally incapacitated in the span of over three years.
