Jose N. Gonzalez-Cervera, 45, of North Charleston, died from blunt force injuries in a fatal hit-and-run on Rivers Avenue near Hawthorne Drive on New Year’s night. The Charleston County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity as the pedestrian victim killed at the scene.
