CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division has pressed new charges against an already jailed man who they say had a fraudulent driver’s license for this state.
Shane Duan Bright, 52, is charged with two counts of fraudulent application for a license.
SLED says the fraud occurred twice; the first was Nov. 14, 2023 and the second was April 10, 2025. In both of these instances, Bright is accused of going to an SCDMV office in North Charleston and applying for South Carolina credentials, which he received, under a false name.
