Man arrested for copper wire theft at North Charleston restaurant, police say

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Police arrested a Daniel Island man on Tuesday, after the man was allegedly involved in a theft of copper electrical wire from a North Charleston restaurant.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department were conducting foot patrols at the Ruby Tuesday on Jan. 31, when a nearby hotel employee flagged them down and reported that they had seen suspicious activity.

According to the report, officers noticed three power panels on one side of the restaurant with their doors open and all copper electrical wiring removed…
