JOHN’S ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – As widespread construction progresses around Highway 17, residents say it’s difficult to deal with the noise and traffic. However, Charleston County is taking steps to make its work more efficient and less disruptive.
Charleston County engineering manager Herbert Nimz says they are making good progress as construction work continues on the Highway 17 and Main Rd intersection on John’s Island.
