Winner says he went to work after landing $200,000 South Carolina lottery prize

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) — One Moncks Corner man is $200,000 richer after stopping into a convenience store for a drink and a lottery ticket while on his way to work, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The release from the lottery states that the man stopped into the convenience store located on Old Highway 52 in Moncks Corner and purchased a $5 lottery ticket, hoping to at least earn his money back. What he could have never expected was a five-figure payday.
