SUMMERVILLE S.C (WCIV) — A Summerville father whose son died by suicide nearly two years ago says he is now taking legal action against Dorchester School District Two, claiming years of bullying warnings were ignored.
Jason Brockert made the announcement Friday morning outside the district’s offices — on what would have been his son Julian’s 16th birthday.
After speaking with dozens of law firms that told him the case had merit but could not take it on, Brockert decided to file the lawsuit himself without an attorney. With the statute of limitations approaching, he felt he had no choice but to act now…
