LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — The average price of gas rose in the past week, inching the state’s average closer toward $3 per gallon, but not quite over the precipice.
According to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,028 stations in South Carolina, gas prices rose 5.6 cents, with prices now sitting 7.0 cents higher than a month ago but 23.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
Price reports state that the cheapest station in South Carolina was priced at $2.09 per gallon on Sunday, while the most expensive was $3.49 per gallon. This massive near $1.50 difference will likely prompt motorists to do a bit of hunting around for the best prices before settling on a station…
