NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A man was taken into custody over the weekend after he allegedly pointed a gun at someone and said racial slurs during a confrontation after the road rage incident Sunday evening.
Lucas Prestera, 23, is charged with third-degree assault and battery with hate-based intimidation and pointing and presenting a firearm.
Officers were called to a scene on Gullah Avenue just before 6 p.m. Upon arrival, the victims told officers they were driving on Spruill Avenue when Prestera, who was also driving, began to act erratically and eventually pulled a gun and pointed it at them, according to the incident report. He then allegedly physically attacked the victims when they all stopped, allegedly using racial slurs before being stopped with pepper spray. They took a picture of Prestera exiting his vehicle and his license plate to have proof for the police.
Officers were able to track the vehicle, in which they conducted a probable cause search. During the search, they seized a gun and arrested Prestera…
