CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The third day of trial concluded Wednesday, who is accused of killing a man at a gas station in November 2023.
Tyler Deshayne Heyward, who is charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, allegedly killed Francis Wayne at a Circle K in downtown Charleston in November 2023. Heyward was arrested a few days after the shooting.
The state presented witnesses, including law enforcement officials who specialized in different sectors, who discussed data analysis and the defendant’s phone activity.
Phone records showed extensive calling activity before the incident. from between 3:05 a.m. and 5:39 a.m. on Nov. 10, 2023. One number made more than 200 outgoing calls to a number associated with Heyward, according to testimony. None of the calls appeared to be answered…
