CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — While Charleston is known internationally as a wedding destination, one lesser-known venue is gaining popularity: the Charleston County Public Library.
George and Carmen Morrishaw walked down the “M” aisle, exchanged rings and said their vows in the fiction section of the Bees Ferry Branch Library.
The couple, who met online five years ago playing video games, chose the unconventional venue for both practical and sentimental reasons.
“We didn’t have a plan for a big wedding, so a library seemed pretty good,” George Morrishaw said. “We bonded over fiction.”…
