- Salthouse Catering launches 14,000-square-foot commissary kitchen
- Space designed for Charleston food trucks, caterers and CPG brands
- Offers flexible short- and long-term leases
- Includes commercial equipment, storage, prep areas and food truck parking
Salthouse Catering has expanded its culinary expertise into a new space that provides a commissary space for chefs and entrepreneurs who need a place to cook.
Salthouse Commissary Kitchen is purpose-built for Charleston’s culinary entrepreneurs such as food truck operators, caterers and consumer packaged goods businesses. The lease on the space began Jan. 1, according to a news release.
The 14,000 square feet include commercial kitchen space, commercial-grade cooking equipment, prep areas, storage and on-site parking designed for food trucks. Salthouse Catering said the space is more than three times the size of other similar facilities in the area.
“Charleston has no shortage of culinary talent, but there are real barriers when it comes to access, space and the infrastructure needed to grow,” Tanya Gurrieri, co-founder of Salthouse Catering, said in the release. “We’ve been in those shoes ourselves. This commissary kitchen is designed to create a professional, well-run environment where food entrepreneurs can focus on building their businesses, whether they’re just getting started or ready to scale. It’s practical, flexible, and designed to support the way people actually work within the food and beverage industry.”…
