Six years later, no arrest in Summerville homicide

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — Six years after 20-year-old Dale Dean “DJ” McDonald Jr. was shot and killed in the parking lot of Canebreak Apartments, his case remains unsolved.

Police said McDonald was shot around 11:30p.m. on Feb. 18, 2020, in the apartment complex parking lot on Central Avenue. He was sitting in his vehicle when he was shot. No arrest has been made.
