Summerville Police have charged 19-year-old Anthony Prioleau with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in the January 9, 2026, fatal shooting of 18-year-old Kymani Baker at a Sonic Drive-In on Dorchester Road.

Incident Overview

Baker, who worked at both Sonic and nearby Marco’s Pizza, was shot in the torso and forearm around 8:33 a.m. and pronounced dead at the scene despite aid from bystanders including a U.S. Customs agent and nurse. A stolen firearm was found on Baker, but police recovered the murder weapon—also stolen—discarded nearby during the suspect’s flight on foot.
