Charleston, South Carolina – Secure outdoor items now as wind gusts up to 45 mph whip across the Lowcountry this afternoon, then prepare for wind chills falling into the teens by midnight.
According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, a Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. EST Sunday for southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia. Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph could snap small tree limbs and cause isolated power outages. A Cold Weather Advisory begins at midnight and continues through 9 a.m. Monday, when wind chills will range from the mid to upper teens inland to around 20 degrees along the coast…
