North Charleston Police charge man allegedly found at ex’s apartment with rifle

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department said it arrested a man over the weekend for threatening his ex at her apartment.

Nathaniel Jerome Hubbart, 35, of Ladson, is charged with first-degree assault and battery.

Police said they responded Saturday to the 3300 block of Shipley Street around 8 a.m. after someone called to report a disturbance. The caller said an ex-boyfriend, later identified as Hubbart, was beating on the door of an apartment.

The dispatcher who took the call said Hubbart could be heard in the background…
