NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office says an inmate has died after being found unresponsive two weeks ago.
Deputies responded to the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center on Feb. 10, just before 3:30 p.m, after an inmate became unresponsive in the Processing Unit. A detention center nurse immediately began CPR, according to initial reports.
Charleston County EMS and the North Charleston Fire Department responded to assist. Medical personnel were able to restore a pulse, and the inmate was sent to the Medical University of South Carolina…
