SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has closed its investigation into a Summerville officer-involved shooting that occurred in June 2025.
SLED was called in to investigate the June 14 shooting on Winter Drive. Officers were originally dispatched to the home for a domestic issue.
What officers found
When officers arrived, they heard a gunshot from inside the home. The SLED report says officers found Patrick Hatcher inside, armed with a handgun and a woman in his other hand.
