BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — One person is dead after a fatal auto versus pedestrian accident in Bonneau early Friday.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said that around 2:18 a.m., a “totally unknown vehicle” fatally struck a pedestrian in the roadway on Highway 52 near Illion Lane. The vehicle left the scene, according to SCHP.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified 34-year-old Jeaniettra Avonne Jones as the victim in the collision. She was pronounced dead on the scene from the result of her injuries, according to the coroner…
