NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A man was arrested early Monday after officers say he was caught breaking into vehicles at an apartment complex, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
Antonio Bennett, a 22-year-old was charged with receiving stolen goods, possession of burglary tools, and two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle.
The report on the incident states that at approximately 3:30 a.m. police responded to the Park Circle Village Apartments following a report of someone entering vehicles. The caller reportedly stated that the suspect was seen inside a car outside one of the buildings and was later seen walking toward a building before disappearing from view.
Upon arriving at the apartment complex, officers stated that they spotted a vehicle that had been rummaged through. Additionally while canvassing the area an officer spotted a man crawling between two cars near one of the buildings…
