JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – Lowcountry Land Trust has permanently protected the six-acre Holmes Tract on Johns Island, strengthening a growing conservation corridor and safeguarding wetlands that flow into Bohicket Creek.
According to the Lowcountry Land Trust, the fully donated conservation easement connects with an existing 96-acre stretch of conserved land along Plow Ground Road. Three separate landowners have now worked with the nonprofit to protect properties within the corridor, advancing a shared conservation goal.
