A northbound dump truck lost control and overturned at the intersection of Mount Carmel and Wolf Creek Road Wednesday morning February 25th. The truck received heavy damage in the accident. The adult male driver was able to crawl out of the wreckage of the truck which received heavy damage in the accident. He suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics. CARE Flight responded and landed in the front yard of a residence near the accident site and flew the victim to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital in North Charleston. Mount Carmel Road was closed in the area of the accident for about 45 minutes, so recovery crews could clear the damaged truck from the scene.
