Crime suppression operation leads to 16 traffic stops and felony arrest in Dorchester

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office conducted their second targeted crime suppression operation on Feb. 28, leading to 16 traffic stops and one felony arrest.

According to the sheriff’s office, the operation was conducted in areas that had been previously identified as experiencing increased criminal activity. Key areas of enforcement included the Knightsville community along Orangeburg Road from Highway 17-A to Mallard Road, as well as Delmar Highway. Operations also reportedly extended into areas of unincorporated North Charleston along Dorchester Road and Ashley Phosphate Road.
