Man shot in foot after incident on Cosgrove Avenue Friday, police investigating

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Detectives are investigating a Cosgrove Avenue shooting incident after a man was shot and injured Friday, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

The report on the incident states that officers arrived at 2121 Cosgrove Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting in the area. While investigating the scene, dispatch advised officers that a patient suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at a nearby hospital.

Police met with the victim at the hospital and in an interview, the individual reported that he had been attending a gathering in the backyard of the residence where the shooting occurred. He reportedly stated that as he was leaving the residence and walking down Cosgrove Avenue, he heard multiple gunshots. The victim told police that he began running toward his girlfriend’s residence which was located on Admiral Drive, and only then did he realize that he had been shot in the right foot…
