Charleston Police arrest suspect after series of West Ashley vehicle break-ins

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston Police Department officers arrested a suspect after investigating a series of vehicle break-ins reported overnight in the West Ashley area, according to police.

Shaoquna Rishen Williams, 29, of Charleston, was charged with three counts of breaking into a motor vehicle and property crime enhancement.

Officers began the investigation in the overnight hours of March 12 after a caller reported two people pulling on car door handles on Parkwood Estates Drive. A responding officer then spotted two suspects in a driveway on Canterbury Road, a street that runs parallel to Parkwood Estates Drive.
