DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dorchester School District Two Board of Trustees met on Monday and approved who will be Fort Dorchester High School’s Principal for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Fort Dorchester’s next principal will be Dr. Mathias Burnette, who has served as Stratford High School’s Assistant Principal since 2021 and has 18 years of education experience.
“I’m incredibly honored to join the Fort Dorchester High School community and become part of a school with such a strong tradition of excellence,” said Burnette. “The accomplishments of this faculty, staff, and student body are well known across the Lowcountry, and I look forward to working alongside this team to build on that success.
