One person arrested for DUI after fleeing scene of four-vehicle crash in South Carolina

SOUTH CAROLINA — A Dorchester County man was arrested Thursday morning after police say he caused a four-vehicle crash while driving under the influence and fled the scene.

According to the North Charleston Police Department, Roger Anibal Cardona Lopez was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence (first offense), failure to give information and render aid, and driving without a license.

Officers were dispatched around 8:30 a.m. to Patriot Boulevard near Dorchester Road following reports of a collision involving four vehicles. When police arrived, three of the vehicles involved remained at the scene…
