CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — The legal process to hold the Charleston County Detention Center accountable for the death of inmate Mary Brucato has begun.
A notice of intent to sue was filed on March 13 and sent to the Charleston County Detention Center’s medical provider, VitalCore. If the medical provider does not respond within the next 120 days, an official lawsuit will be filed against VitalCore and the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
