Weather delays and cancellations snarl flights at Charleston International Airport

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — Stormy weather moving through the Lowcountry Monday caused delays and cancellations for travelers flying in and out of Charleston International Airport.

As of Monday evening, flight tracking data showed roughly 75 delays and 38 cancellations at the airport, with those numbers continuing to climb as storms moved through the Southeast.

Inside the terminal, the impact was clear. Long lines formed at bag drop counters and check-in desks as travelers tried to rebook flights or check their status. Some passengers could also be seen sitting wherever they could find space — near gates, along walls, and even on the floor — waiting for updates…
