Charleston weighs e-bike limits as riders warn of safety risks on Daniel Island trails

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Charleston City Council is grappling with how to regulate electric bicycles as their popularity grows across the Lowcountry.

The fast-growing trend has prompted city leaders to consider new rules. Council recently deferred action on proposed regulations to gather public input and further study the issue.
