Reckless three-car chase through North Charleston ends with four arrests

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Four women were arrested Monday evening after a reckless three-vehicle chase tied to an ongoing dispute that began in Summerville, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

Police said the chase started just before 7 p.m. when an officer at Spruill Avenue and Aragon Avenue saw one vehicle speeding through the median, followed closely by two others also passing traffic in the median. The officer activated lights and sirens, but all three vehicles continued at high speeds and refused to stop.

The vehicles traveled onto Buist Avenue, then North Rhett Avenue, where officers say the drivers ignored commands to pull over while speeding, passing several cars and running a red light. The drivers also made evasive maneuvers to avoid police…
