NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The Charleston County Emergency Management Department will deploy a new mass casualty bus as soon as next week, funded by a state grant aimed at improving emergency response capabilities.
The South Carolina Department of Public Health awards Charleston County EMS a grant every year to elevate its services.
“This year our focus is mass casualty incidents,” Chris Way, chief of Charleston County EMS, said.
