CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Beginning Thursday evening, a portion of the Ashley River Crossing bridge will be temporarily closed as construction crews work in the area.
According to a release from the City of Charleston, in collaboration with the South Carolina Department of Transportation and Mastec-Civil, US 17 Northbound, beginning near the intersection of Albemarle Road will be closed. The closure will reportedly stretch approximately .5 miles north, before ending near the exit ramp to Lockwood Boulevard.
The roadway is set to close on March 19 at 9 p.m. and will remain closed until March 20 at 6 a.m…
