I Serve With Joy Launches “Steps Toward Mobility” to Support Charleston-Area Residents

A temporary injury shouldn’t stop someone from working, attending school, or caring for their family. Yet for many across the Charleston area, access to something as simple as crutches can become an unexpected challenge—especially for those who are uninsured or underinsured.

I Serve With Joy is launching the “Steps Toward Mobility Impact Initiative,” beginning with The Joy Mobility Project, a community program focused on making brand-new, medical-grade crutches available to residents in need.

The initiative will roll out over its first 8–9 week phase, providing support to community members—including seniors, veterans, youth in sports, and working individuals recovering from injury—so they can remain mobile during recovery…
