Sullivan’s Island is marking America’s 250th anniversary with a special look back at its own role in history. Join the Town and SC250 for a showing of “The Battle of Sullivan’s Island” by Wide Awake Films. Two sessions are planned — Thursday, March 19, 5:30–6:30 PM, and Tuesday, April 7, 5:30–6:30 PM. After each screening, stay for a moderated discussion about the island’s part in the 1776 battle that helped protect Charleston and shape the nation’s independence. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about this pivotal moment in local and American history.
