Debate over raised medians from Folly Road safety improvement plan grows

JAMES ISLAND S.C. (WCIV) — When it comes to safety on the roads, raised medians are becoming more common, but not everyone is happy about it.

James Island City Council is working with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) to make Folly Road safer, but more than a thousand people are sounding off, saying they don’t agree with part of the plan.
