CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – One person is dead following a Thursday morning auto-pedestrian crash in downtown Charleston, according to police.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of King Street and Broad Street.
An initial investigation into the crash found that a pedestrian was crossing Broad at King in a designated crosswalk when a pickup truck, turning left from King, struck them.
The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital, where they later died from their injuries. Their name has not yet been released…
